This historic Moorish fortress-palace was built in the 8th century, and it is one of the most important evidence of the rich history of Malaga. The Alcazaba palace was built in the Islamic era, and it took 500 years to complete the finished structure that you can see today. The two sets of walls of the palace protect an inner and an outer citadel.
